Nice thread.. good to see there are more options than the Crust one (way better looking ones too)

Have you seen the cycletruck conversion kits from haulin caulin ? It may be a way better handling than having all the weight on the fork.

Shame @M_V is not feeling putting more together, really like his stuff. Even if he charged a bit more than he mentioned on that thread, I think there would be interest.

Excellent. Thanks.

Its a valid point (weight distribution is presumably better due to the frame joint) but as a stand alone product (for the purpose of my uni project) the forks are much more doable.

I mean innthe case of a cycletruck you’d need an aftermarket 20” fork but the project would be the adapter. In case anyone’s down for a project like this keep me updated.

i was into this idea and was going through your links but then found this and think it would be infinitely better, especially if, on a steel version (which I would go for seeing as I have a frame kicking around), the rack was still detachable.

Quite likely. But I can't really write my project based on this. My tutor is already questioning if people would want to 'substantially alter their bike' by changing the fork.
Big fan of Phil V's videos btw. Hes a clever guy.

ja, totally kaputzky. best guess, some css/template troubles..
Thinking about designing some cargo forks to use on a regular bike (ie no frame modifications - just a fork swap). Heavily inspired by Crust Cyldesdale.
Its just a uni project. May well not offer any improvements and almost certainly won't result in an actual product (or even one-off).
This thread is an info dump of forks etc... I've found. Feel free to contribute.
Some of these links seem very shady to me so by no means think I'm approving these as reputable vendors.

Less keen on something that clamps to the frame if possible. But will look into it a bit.
For the record I'm not keen on having to deal with the interface of the existing headtube and the extension. Although it is a clever design. Perhaps a bit too much for my project.
This, which appears to be a copy of the Crust fork (no disc tabs):

Also worth noting that photos show an entirely different fork in one of the pictures.
Honourable mention for this style of fork/rack (continental European post office bike style). Not exactly what I'm looking for but may take some cues from it.

Husky bike tech e-cargo fork addition. Cool that it simply bolts onto your existing forks.
