Thanks! Found using the slide table really handy to do the set up for getting the position right for the struts. The cage mounts on the fork were put in by a friend years ago and let's just say that he might have been in a rush, made getting the angles a little tricky.

You also chose a hard way to mount the rack to the forks. A flat piece of steel (like plate style dropouts) with a hole in it would have made it easier to bent and adjust. But the tube solution does look cool

Yeah, I had thought of that but also thought it might exaggerate the misaligned mounts when looking down at the rack.
Definitely would have been easier though.
