I'm leaning that way, I've gone off the octagonal cross section of the pro plt stem too, I don't think it suits. I've some 40cm salsa cowbells I'll give a go but for now dn't want to go too wide - I am a narrow narrow person :-(
Yeah laptop and some underwear would be in a single pannier which m might be awful

I think I prefer the all-silver look over the colour matched stem. But that's just my two cents. I got some NITTO M137AA SSB drop bars if you want something in silver and wider.
With the tubus or blue log lowriders would you transport your laptop in a pannier?
