A cool feature. On a practical level, it lets you have a higher shower screen which reduces splash back. I do wonder how much escapes from the hole tho?

I'd think having a big hole would cause more splash back than having the screen extend higher than the shower head.

But then you couldn't fold it back!

Let's be honest, irl the only time that screen will get folded back is for the Saville's sale photos, and then they'll discover that the hinges have seized.
