• Finally got round to setting up my Flexispot sit/stand desk. It seems a decent bit of kit although I was expecting a bit more in the way of cable management than some zip ties.

Haven't really worked out the best way to have the mains cable to allow the desk to move up and down but still look neat and still need to tidy up a few cables.

Also still looking for a decent looking office chair (that doesn't look too officey) with lumbar support. I don't think such a thing exists.

  • Aggi, can I ask how you are getting on with your Flexispot sit/stand desk? I need to order a new desk and this is top of the list at the moment.

  • I'm happy with it. Nice and stable and the sit/stand is very smooth. I probably don't stand as much as I should as I forget about it.

I got an EQ5 because I wanted something that would go a little lower than 71cm. Looks like they have a £90 discount on that model at the moment.

I'd definitely get one with preset heights, I can imagine trying to remember and set heights would be a bit annoying.

It was a bit fiddly to put together, but fine once it's up. On my model at least the cable management stuff was minimal, doing again I'd be tempted to get some kind of cable tray (I just used a lot of zip ties).

The frames are Sanodesk ones. You may spot them cheaper under that brand, prices seem to fluctuate quite a bit.

  • I'm selling a Flexispot E5 at the moment if you're interested.

Can also supply with a brand new solid oak top, cut to size.
