    That said - it’s an all round much better experience (value for money, atmosphere, accessibility) than the premier league.

  • Premier League is surprisingly reasonable value if you only go to away games. I was paying more to go away in the Championship than I do in the Premier League.

    (Or just go to Burnley where you can get a season ticket for about £300 and a Bene 'n' hot for £2).

  • Away days are fun I like to be able to decide to go on the day based on weather, work etc.

    We used to watch Macclesfield a bit and you could park near the ground at 2.50pm and be in your seat for 2.59pm having bought a ticket. They’re now getting 4,000 at home in the North West Counties. That’s probably a level below what I’m prepared to watch.

    Stockport is my closest Conference team. Buxton aren’t far away and Northern Premier is just about watchable.
