• As we're in the topic of small bathrooms, any thoughts on "optimizing" the use of space in our current one? I think it's pretty good already and not much room for improvements but would love to hear others' thoughts. Keen to keep a bath for potential offsprings cleaning.

I think the sink/vanity unit/mirror could be bigger and come closer to the bath. Wonder if the toilet could be a wall hung. Behind the toilet is under stair storage with gas meter right against that wall.

  • Rotate loo 90º to towel radiator wall, so the bowl is in essentially the same place; swap basin and towel radiator. Would give a cleaner entrance to the room? Coupled with switching the bath to the other way round, you could then conceal everything in a stud wall and have some nice concealed cistern/recessed storage thing going on.

  • That's a good idea. Are there rules around how much space needs to be left between loo/sink/tub that would point me in the direction of the right width sink etc?

Would 130mm be the right size stud to put plumbing in on the right side?

(FYI for you, Corbett house downstairs bathroom)
