Cycling for fun is fake news, that kind of degenerates only cycle to the coffee
-
• #23103
Each day, as I wake and see the continued existence of this thread, the word 'fun' does not come to mind
-
• #23104
Dysfunctional has the word 'fun' in it?
-
• #23105
But you're still so proud of yourself for starting it, aren't you?
-
• #23106
I don't know about proud, but I live a much grander lifestyle since big gravel paid me to start it
-
• #23107
Waiting for your gravel hall of fame nomination
-
• #23108
The most fun you can have is rolling fast AF down road hills until your eyes are more water than vision and sliding about the place trying to stay upright off road with SFAB attempting to cover your butt in shit, the answer is massive slick tyres and a few beers.

Road integrated bar/stem on slack gravel HTA? Shifters dripping off the front. Weird.
Remember when you could rotate bars?
-
• #23116
Thats millar thing is about 7 grand i believe.

It's not that outrageous when you see the prices of cervelo, Specialized or OPEN. Gravel bros have deep pockets
-

cervelo, Specialized or OPEN.
Those are not gravel bro bikes. They're bikes for roadies with notions
True gravel bros ride steel or titanium with 60cm drop bars and expensive ano parts

Integrated bar/stem actually looks better on slacker head angles generally because then the bar ends up in a more aesthetic position IMO (bar ends pointing in the direction of where the rear brake bridge would be). I'd say this one is acceptable.

If there were after-market 13 speed cranks Ekar would be much more appealing
-
• #23121
True gravel bros don't actually ride their bikes. Hence their penchant for cable discs that wouldn't work in shitfromabutt.gif

Trufax. How can you get those Insta shots of pristine bikes if you've just ridden it?
-
• #23123
Hey, I've ridden my bike for up to 10 minutes to find a suitable photo location!
-
• #23124
Putting it in the back of your Evoque is not "riding".
-
• #23125
I'm more likely to ride it into the back of an Evoque
You need to make a detailed excel with the time spent in the road with both bikes and time spent in the dirt. Compare at different wattages and only use the fastest bike, the other one should be chucked into the fire.
