• Really appreciate the openness in the post, resonates strongly with my own situation and feelings. Gained about 10 kg in lockdown and after birth of first kid. Only started last month thanks to this thread to change my routine. I thought it was impossible before I started. But find a routine that suits you and don’t do severe caloric restriction and you will see results! Also, didn’t you refurbish a whole freaking house in the last year or so? Way more productive than what most people did in the last year or so, I am sure !

About 10% complete, but thanks. A problem for me is that ms_com works for a youth mental health charity so sees anything calorie counting or weight tracking as hugely problematic due to what it can do to young people. Especially young girls, so is adamant that mini_com is not exposed to any of it. Now I know where the scales went. Regardless of whether I think it will help me, there'll be no apps or scales as long as I'm living under this roof. First yardstick then will be my clothes. Currently, none of them really fit. And trying to buy new is an anxiety minefield in itself.

I went to decathlon buy myself on a long lunch to get some walking trousers. I got some, but also came away with a renewed hatred for my body.
