I really enjoyed giving cross country skiing a crack in the USA a few years ago, to the point where I'm entertaining a CX ski holiday some time in the coming year. Does anyone have any ideas for non-flying, budget friendly CX ski destinations from London? Norway is obviously the gold standard for locations but it costs a bomb!
When I mean CX skiing I mostly mean non-technical 'trek' style skiing, I'm not an advanced CX skier by any means.
Oberhof in Germany. You can ski there whatever the conditions, they've got a 1km loop indoors. Think you'd have to drive though. Le Grand Bornand near Annecy/La Clusaz is pretty stunning too
