    @HK_Berlin I did not really check but the screw screws in smooth so I‘d say the threads are alright. But I’ll check it out!

    @Heldring isn’t that the one thing you shouldn’t grease?

  • Right, well that's probably by far not tight enough to start with. Sugino suggest 40-50nm which is a lot tighter than you'll be able to get with a mini tool. Riding it loose may have ruined the taper now though.

    Isn’t hat equal to torquing with 40-50 kg and a 1 m wrench? To my knowledge you shouldn’t grease the crank bb interface to prevent the crank arm slide too far onto the spindle. Making me think 50 Nm could be too much.
    Anyway, a 10 cm Allen key gave me another quarter of rotation on the screw, hope that will help!
