^ this is the reason I like it when the person showing the watch wears gloves, even on 200£ Seiko's

Won’t begrudge it going for less than it’s worth if it goes to someone here!

I’m looking to buy a watch as a gift, but have no idea what to look for and am hoping for some advice.
The budget is around £200, which I’m aware isn’t much when it comes to watches. Also, there are some specific criteria to be met -
A simple/classic face
Roman numerals rather than numbers (though simple markers around the face would probably be ok)
Metal band ideally (not a deal breaker )Where’s good to look for second hand watches? And any leads on makes to look out for would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Thanks.
Based on an SK007, this is a mod nicknamed a 'Planet Monster'. Has the dial from a Monster (so great lume) plongeur hands, replacement bezel and insert, new chapter ring, and domed sapphire crystal with AR coating.
Got it from Harold Ng, seikoboy himself, back in 2011. Harold is a well known modder https://theyobokies.com/

A couple to start with assuming you're looking for a gents watch...
Seiko 5 is a nice sports watch, no roman numerals but clear markers. Automatic movement if that matters at all. Loads of different variations but this one looks a safe bet:

A little more formal, something from Tissot. Roman numerals and quartz movement:

Wow the Longines Conquest is such a rip of that. They just stopped at adding the 9 and 3!

Hmm don't really think so. The hands are completely different, it has a crown guard and a 12 too
