A passenger locator form
To complete this you’ll need a day 2 test booking reference, flight details etc.
5 minutes work…
I think it’s 1 per adult and you can add minors to yours. -

Sorry more of a flippant comment on you wearing out boots in three years, but then you are far out of the normal.
But then I have seen people with rear load ski boots on piste

Though heat tech has been around for decades. Comfy liner really works as you can get different size inner so perfect fit.

Thanks! I over-ordered on the LFT’s ahead of traveling, so I now need to dig the reference numbers out of my emails.

I'm always amazed at people still using those. a) they were shit and b) they are ancient lol
But if you are just gliding around (ie: not a lot of stress on the boot), I'm sure they will last a lot longer

It's been around for a while, but it's trickled down to more boots and more shops are willing / able to do it.
When I was working in a shop it wasn't common that customers came with their own boots to rent just just skis, but whenever they did it was a fun lottery of what condition they'd be in. I had to reject a few customers because their boots were so worn or old we couldn't safely fit them to a binding. -

On the other hand, Cabrio style boots are also 'old' tech, but have so many benefits that I'm surprised more brands haven't taken advantage of.

Going in the right direction although there's going to be another moderate dump on Monday.
Now I've had some time to adjust to the change of plans, really looking forward to doing a bit of downhill. It has been 5 years since the last time I skied on piste.

Part of me thinks that the use may not be as bad as walking around in boots that are not designed to be walked in. But that goes for things like motorbike boots too.

Bet those customers went on to moan about service from the shop.
Then I think I have ski and boots from the 40s-50s I think....still worries me that I skiied as a child, yet am terrible as an adult. Not as fun as it was when I was small.

5 people killed in an avalanche in Tirol about 10km from where we are skiing currently. Feels strange as we had some really fun days including some nice off piste runs.

Very sad news. Horrific.

Der Chef des Tiroler Lawinenwarndienstes, Rudi Mair, sagte angesichts der zahlreichen Vorfälle: «Es macht mich traurig, aber ich bin auch erschüttert und wütend, dass alle Warnungen nichts nützen.»

I have a pair of Dalbellos and they are awesome. I wasn't aware of any inherent disadvantages to a 3-piece boot design, but if there are they're more than compensated for by the improved fit (for me).

True! There were warnings all over the place, so was surprised how many people you could see off-piste including myself..

First ski lesson for our 6-year old tomorrow. All fingers crossed.

Beginner snowboarders cannot stop intentionally.
There is no equivalent of the snowplough on a board. To stop you either have to turn or else fall over. And if you’re a beginner boarder you cannot turn…

I’ve happened upon an older red Spyder jacket with all the bells and whistles in probably an XXL if anyones in the want at the moment. Say 25quid posted?
Just a little too big for me. PM me if interested.

The end of our 3 valleys trip. No new snow and the piste badgers did an incredible job creating some fantastic pistes. With the French holidays about to start I bet the snow dance is well and truly underway.
Trains to the south coast completely broken. Expecting it to take as long to get home from london as it did from Moutiers to Londres. -

Am I being dumb here?
The travel guidance for France asks for a PCR or antigen test to enter France from the UK.
A lateral flow is an antigen test right? Has anyone been using lateral flows for that or do we have to pay randox £30 for a PCR test before we go?

Was that meant as a reply to me?
About as much as bike tech. If you are on the higher end, looking at carbon touring boots for example, a lot has changed in the last 5 years. If you're looking for your first pair of piste boots, then the most significant change will be how comfy the liner feels and how willing even smaller shops are to heat molding them to your feet.
