I got a quote from mike at https://www.vintagecyclesport.com/ for a gios, quote he gave me was pretty reasonable as he's an independent. He did say chroming has gone up in costs as not many people still want to do it. Can't comment on end result as was trying to organise it when my daughter was on the way and I've dropped the project for now. Seemed like a nice guy though, if you're looking.
So this is interesting, won't name the UK companies, but asked 3 well known ones for a quote for:
Fix rear dropout
Chroming forks, dropouts and RH chainstay
Repaint Enamel with fitting of decals provided by me,
Lug filling with contrasting colour
Two of those companies never replied.
One replied with a quote of £579 of which £17 only to mask dropouts and RH chainstay chrome when applying colour. Which seems an overkill.
Also £55 to paint fill 8 small holes in contrasting colour.
£120 chroming of dropouts and RH chainstay plus £150 chroming of forks.
Asked an Italian company, renowned Cicli Pelizzoli, full quote: €340
Decals fitting and contrast filling included in repaint job (180 euros), masking not even mentioned as it'd be ridiculous to even thinking of charging let alone do charging it.
110 euro to chrome forks, dropouts and RH chainstay.
