The seat stay was crushed.
The frameset is an XL "Sobato" frame made by the Workswell company, which you can find extensive discussions and reviews about in the Orient Express thread.
I loved the bike, though according to Strava I only did around 1500km on it.
I believe the frame geometry is the same as in the picture below, although that is a newer disc model.
