Rode the Newport 200 yesterday. A classic, no-frills winter event through Cheshire, Shropshire and a bit of Staffordshire. Tea and coffee at the start, soup and cheese butties at the end.
Sapping headwind on the way out, redeemed slightly by crisp blue skies. Had hoped for a little more of a tailwind on the way back. Didn't quite make it back to the hall before the rain came in. Fully soaked in the last 10km and then on the ride home after. All in all a good day out and a few more miles in the legs.
