I personally think it would be a shame to ruin that amazing original paint job. But I also understand the urge for bigger rubber. Coming in late to the conversation here I have to ask: these are two different bikes? The 700cx35 and the 26” one?
P.s.: I was looking forward to meet you and check out that bike in person on the weekend but had to bail out because we where isolating at home.
So wouldn't it be a more sensible solution to set up the 26er as a more touring friendly bike because it already has wider tyres? Or do you want big 700c wheels?
