He could overcook that rapid descent. Crash not off the cards.
Hoping for a tabletop on that jump after the stairs.

Arise, Sir Pidders.
Shame the big bois weren’t there. Could’ve been a great race out front.

Well aware of the hypocrisy in calling it tactics when Vos does it and wheelsucking when Eli does it, but it is what it is.

On that course it would have been embarrassing if Pidcock didn’t win. He was cruising around. World Tour top 5 one day racer vs riders sponsored by regional mayonnaise brands in a drag race lolz.

International mayonnaise brand. I have some Pauwels Sauzen sauces. Only for cross weekends though.

Ah, the old “cross racers are inferior riders to WT pros” trope. Funny how so many road riders get their arses handed to them on a plate when they dabble in cross.
-
• #37998
That wasn't a cross race.

• #37999
I agree with this. I think there are world tour riders (other than WVA and MVDP) who would have ended up on the podium.

I think every race should have a flight of steps in it. It would be great during a wet Roubaix or for the last few yards up Alpe d'Huez. Everyone remembers Froome running up the Ventoux. It's the future.
Those poor Belgies with all their tactics.
