• In the meantime I finally managed to setup a new cockpit and some other small bits for the Raleigh.
I’ve had the Simworks Getaround bars for ages but they didn’t fit my old stem for some reason. I watched eBay for a while but nothing good and suitable came up so I sourced a Nitto Technomic from Germany via my Mom.
I picked up some Paul levers and a Nitto mini rack from here and was able to get a Son Edelux II for trade price. While I was at it I also properly shortened the mudguard struts.
It’s super nice now. Handles really well and it’s not too short anymore. I am allowed out again since yesterday and used the nice weather today for some pictures.

  • I like that a lot - nice proportions, lots of lovely silver kit, perfectly put together. Very tidy. I want to ride it around on holiday in the sunshine

Also: that secan mock up is great. I think you will actually pull off the orange and purple! The silver parts help. Grey tyres aren’t for me but the g one all round is a great tyre. I went for cannonballs over them for a bit more traction off road but on tarmac I think the allround is better

  • I already liked this thing with drop bars a lot, but now I'm fully in love with it.

  • this is v v good.

Also I think The Woods cyclery had those ultradynamicos in stock when we popped in

  • Looks good. Making me think I should try some different colour grips and get round to fitting the rack on my 1x1.
