  • Did ftp test last week and had a near 5% rise which kind of made sense as my previous ftp test had mildly dropped as I was feeling lazy when I did it.

    Had two vo2max workouts this week that were impossible. Today was not helped by my heart rate not getting about 160, usually on TrainerRoad I get up to 170-175 on high exertions but can often get to 185-190 outdoors. Was literally grinding to a halt on the peaks and gave up 3/4 of the way through. Blood saturation levels are normal, negative lateral flow test a few days ago so unlikely to be covid. I just find aborting workouts demoralising.

  • Preceding the ramp test I was on Enthusiast mid volume maintenance pt1

    It is the plan that best suits my available time in terms of 4 workouts per week and duration.

    Am now on pt 2 of the same plan
