I love that. Strap and dial work so well together. Story time: I have an affection for Seiko's. I was born to a single parent family. My favourite "Uncle Gerry" had a bimetal seiko and smoked John Player Special and Embassy - funny the things you remember. I always thought he and that watch were very cool. He brought round Chinese food, and bags of chocolate. Then one day he stopped coming and I found out years later he was my dad and my mum had banished him. We hooked up years later thanks to my twin brother doing a lot of detective work. I was lucky to be around for his last few years, he passed at 84. He was a good witty guy who could recount quotes and stories of his great antics at length even if admittedly a bit weak when I was a kid. We'd meet for coffee and lunch. Still love Seikos, I have a few part out of nostalgia, part because they are just lovely watches that don't shout.
