I'm loving my Brooks Cascadia, which are sold as a decent all-rounder. Just found them instantly comfortable and pretty good on mixed surfaces. They aren't an all-out off-road mud muncher necessarily though. Always try some on (and buy from) at your LRS!

I have an older version of these - two years in and still going well - They aren't great in very slippy / heavy muddy conditions but good on trails and a bit of road - https://www.adidas.co.uk/terrex-two-ultra-trail-running-shoes/H69066.html
Any suggestions for a trail shoe with following criteria:
Decent cushioning (I’m an ultraboost fan)
Decent grip (but a mix of road/trails so not too aggressive)
Lightweight(ish)
I’m doing more distance and my current trail shoes are about 5 years old and my feet and calves (calfs?) are taking a beating
