She took a HUGE amount of abuse for speaking out.
I am totally disgusted by the behaviour of guys I used to respect. To the point of wanting to beat the crap out of them.
Sadly she has gone - she got bought off and left on her own terms. -

No it is highly relevant in this case.
We have a couple of real creepy guys who are obsessed with Asian women. Also women in that culture are seen as more submissive or easily intimidated.
She was a magnet for dirty old men.
You never really know how bad someone is until you see the way they act in a new situation…hard to put into words but I really didn’t see this coming from these guys. -

I am extermely far from endorsing anything here mate. But I'm not going to feed the flame in this thread - I am a peaceful person and I wish the best for everyone. Hopefully mister Hambini will one day learn from his mistakes and become a better person. Until then, I will continue to watch his videos because I have already learned a ton of useful information from them, and I don't care about/skip the parts where he's acting like a massive bollock.

Fucking hell, that’s absolutely appalling!!!!
-
• #456
As a peaceful person, you could also learn a ton of information from others who aren’t clearly rage fuelled, misogynistic, conceited prats.
But yeah, as a peaceful person keep watching his videos, that’ll definitely learn him to be a better person, not encouraging him in the slightest, no, not at all.

Watching his videos on youtube puts money in his pocket.
As long as that happens ge will not change.
-
• #458
I asked you the previous question to find out if you were an idiot or a cunt. Thanks for confirming, cunt.
-
• #459
As long as it doesn't affect you personally, and you benefit, I guess it's ok, right?
Fucking Milquetoast.

I don't care about/skip the parts where he's acting like a massive bollock.
Wow, you’re a piece of work aren’t you.
-
• #461
I will continue to watch his videos
Your literally enabling him to continues with his misogynism.
-
• #462
Arguing here if we like him or not and if we should watch his video's or not is a very useless thing to do imo
-
• #463
There’s no argument, he’s a cunt and people shouldn’t watch his videos.
If this thread serves to educate people of that, or as has just happened, of which members of the forum are also cunts then it’s very useful.

I think it's completely fair to say that you find his views and the abuse he has given out appalling. Someone has had their professional and personal life really messed up by his words/actions.
Arguing here about watching the videos or not, might not change Hambini's sexist ways, but someone has basically said that they "don't give a rat's ass who he offends and how"
She had her home address exposed and had to have counselling among other issues. It comes across as a bit ignorant to say that you just "skip the parts where he's acting like a massive bollock"

I think he got his fingers massively burned with that. I did see a video where looked shaken under the threat of police and legal action. I hope he's learned a bit but I wouldn't know as I rarely check in to be honest after that whole sorry episode, as technically adept as he is, I think his portrayal of women has marred a wider market for his bottom brackets and industry insights apart from being damaging to cycling and equality in general. The greatest harm his kind of "thing" creates is the rabble in his tow that think this kind of behaviour is somehow "bloke".
-
• #466
technically adept as he is
If he were some towering genius, it might be understandable that some people would be willing to overlook what an arse he is in order to retain access to his uniquely brilliant insights. Since none of that applies, it's simply inexcusable to contribute to his self-aggrandisement by viewing any media from which he benefits.

Thanks for the article. Only ever heard of this guy from here but really, what a prick.
-
• #468
ah he is an incel, that explains a lot tbh
-
• #469
There’s lots of posters right here with as much or better expertise than Ham. No need to watch him really.

No need to watch him really.
100%, although for some reason people seemed to be happy to listen to those with severely limited experience than those who have several decades under their belt (see; COVID-19).

He's going up in the world, he now has a stalker with a 1990s style web page
-
• #472
Well looking at the whois for the domain it seems to be someone that doesn't like him much in Reykjavik, Iceland. Plus no dishing the dirt on "keep banging your hairdresser" which I would have thought would be prime tittle tattle for someone with it in for him. This strikes me as some kind of industry sniping, despite the back to the 90's site. The contact email and registrants name of course are redacted. Mind you the plot thickens as those stalky pictures are a bit weird, as is putting the time in to try to get him sacked.
-
• #473
Hard to imagine him getting away with making bottom brackets on company time and probably using company’s raw materials.
-
• #474
someone with way too much time and creepy personalty to do something like that to anyone.
or someone who felt attacked by his opinion/views on their product or even an hired detective/spy that provided information to someone to put online in a not very anonymous way - who knows. At this point is a matter of Hambini to loose a bit of love for money and his time (which I dont think he would) and pull justice uppon the person who did this.
how much drama "banging the hairdresser" can give to a man? ahah

You’d be surprised, I’ve worked at places in the past where there was so much personal work going on, I’m surprised that any company work got completed!
Her attractiveness and ethnicity is relevant is it?
