What about this @ 26mins?
Sadly not. The techno gods torment me still.
I've been listening to these mixes over the past few days and only just noticed something that throws a spanner in the works. I don't think this Andrew Pirie is the Andrew Pirie. Going by the profile it says he's just some lad from Scunthorpe!

on the plus side though I've rediscovered a few tunes I loved
Cannibal Cooking Club - Miffy pretty bonkers around 3 minute mark

Paolo Rocco - Move Body, Move Forward
always liked this, pitched down vocals are soothing -

Dead to me.
He's now following me because.... tunes. Who else could it be? There;s not enojgh cunts wirth that name surely? Also, if these are his sets, they're very clean for vinyl. So either he's good or the world is bullshit (oh damn)

The real Andrew Pirie's day job is finance director at Loud and Clear Hifi in Glasgow. Think fifty grand hifi set ups.
So he would always play vinyl only sets at Melting Pot.The bio of the cunt on soundcloud says "Getting back into spinning vinyl. I'm really into my Techno and mixing all my old Hard House vinyl"
I clocked this before and the vinyl chat indicated that it was the Glasgow Andrew Pirie. How many Andrew Pirie's can there be? -

Um.. well if this guy's mixes are vinyl only im impressed. Honestly they're tooc lean. But I assumed with such an odd name they were legit

Aye I'm defo not convinced they are all pure vinyl...
If they are then he's pretty fucking good -
• #2309

I've listened to maybe 5 or 6 sets now and there's not been one correction. No fucking vinyl here chop. Maybe vinyl cue records off Serato or whatever but not vinyl. Good sets but fuck good, we're trying to find that FUCKING BANGER you met your missus to!

I'm listening to Techno 023 in bed with headphones and I can hear the crackle and pop of vinyl in a couple of quiet bits to be fair.
But I'm not convinced until I see this cunt live stream a set... -

He followed me and commented on a set I uploaded. So he's legit. But is he the same guy?
I wrote a massive comment and soundcloud fucked me -

superpitcher's today
Hadn’t heard this before. I’m 20 minutes in and it’s pretty good.
Sounds a wee bit booka shade, who’s first two albums from the same time also still sound fresh in 2022. -

you might also like michael mayer's immer, which is in a similar understated style. think the genre was called 'microhouse'. I've got a bunch of these mix CDs from the early 2000s that I'm going to re-listen through now I've got a CD player again (starting with the sci.fi.hi.fi series)

I’ll give this a spin this evening.
I recently had to explain what a cd was to my daughter…
Explained that I collected lots when I was younger. She simply asked why -

continuing my early 2000s mix theme as I make dinner tonight soundtracked by ada’s “adaptations” mix. so dreamy

This hard Techno set was the driving force for todays indoor tempo workout. Bpm matching the intensity of the workout really does help.

Listening to this 2004 British Murder Boys mix and it still sounds so relevant and fresh. I always go back to Surgeon when I’m stuck for something to listen to and he never misses.

Never actually knew BMB was 50% Surgeon.
Their 10 Years Kozzmozz set pops up on my mp3 playlist now and then.
