Concorde fork columbus Genius/Max/EL/SL etc.

Posted on
  • I have a Concorde Squadra which I date to the mid 90s. My bicycle is identical to the one in this photograph from a retrobike thread except that my bike has horizontal drop outs. There are no stickers on the frame although I am fairly sure it is also Columbus genius.

I have never owned the original fork, it came with carbon ones.

I'm looking for a chrome fork with the engraved Concorde logo on the shoulders of the fork (see picture).

I would also be interested in any chromed forks which have no marque whatsoever.

Any other information you may have about these bikes would be greatly appreciated (I am aware of the Concorde owners thread).

    Thanks

  • This is unhelpful but I think I have a spare set of these in Holland. I won’t be accessing them anytime soon…

Sounds like you’ve got some sort of Concorde track which are quite hard to find.

In Holland you could pick up a ratty Concorde with these forks very cheap with a bit of patience

You can dig some catalogues out online. Think squadra was a higher spec frame. Especially if you’ve got the embossed Italian flag on the tt.

  • Not sure about track frame, he probably meant his bike has horizontal not vertical as on the image above.

  • Horizontal dropouts right?

EDIT. As in road dropouts I guess. Okay.

  • Yes I meant road drop outs.

Thanks for your suggestion. I am also aware of 2dehands/2ememain.

Please bare me in mind when you return to The Netherlands.

    Thanks
