SOLD OT: Red Wing Classic Moc Toe boots (cash and charity sale), size UK 9

Expanding the Red Wing possibilities currently on here, offered are a pair of classic Red Wing Moc Toe boots - model 875, this model:

These (as also noted elsewhere on here) are great boots - sturdy, waterproof, replaceable soles, look great and will last a lifetime. Reason for selling: wrong sizing for me. I was advised if they pinched a bit they would loosen / mould to the feet. They did not. But in trying to get them to I softened / conditioned the leather meticulously (Red Wing 'Mink Oil' regularly applied) while breaking them in so they are ready to wear and the beautiful deep tan colour they go after this process. General note: breaking in these shoes is a painful business, as I found out, so when I eventually get a pair in the right size I'll be getting them second hand - I genuinely think pairs with the leather broken in should cost more than new, not least as the leather is so thick they'll basically last for ever).

Generally great condition, some heal rub, priced accordingly (rrp: £279) - price £120 (plus shipping if required), £20 of which will go straight to the charity Open Arms. So that's basically £100 for the shoes, £20 for charity / good feelings.

Price nudge on these - £105 (incl. £20 charity donation). RRP £279, on the 'bay these go for upwards of £160, so a decent price for some excellent, waterproof, sturdy and good-looking boots that will last and last.

think you'd be lucky to get £70 for these they need new soles for a start that's £65 as I've just had mine done for the 4th time in 15 years

No problem, and useful re-sole price, thanks. I think there’s plenty of life left in the soles but anyone is more than welcome to try them on / make me a (reasonable) offer if they’re interested. Will leave them on here until I get around to moving them ‘elsewhere’...cheers

Bump and drop on these -> £80. If you're worried about the wear on the sole come take a look - there's no rock with feet/soles flat on the ground, it just appears the way I walk has worn down the very back edge. Loads of life in these soles yet. £20 charity pledge remains. Cheers
