  • Any recommendations for removal firms in East London? Also an indication of what you paid would be very welcome.

  • We used Grays Storage and Removals Limited, very happy with them but you may want to move your plants yourself. Very careful with everything else but seemed to have the attitude that you can't avoid damaging plants so why try!

We moved from a 2nd floor 3 bed flat to a 3 floor victorian terrace E8-E10.
    Moving £710 ex VAT
Packing with all boxes etc (inc taking 2 beds apart and rebuilding) £375 ex VAT

  • I used Stork Removals and they were very good.

    Ex VAT it was
Packing (inc all packing stuff) - 395
    Moving - 795
Dismantling and reassembling a few beds, table and wardrobe - 95

Three bed flat to a house

Would strongly recommend the packing service, it made the whole thing incredibly easy. We packed one bag each and they packed the rest.

  • Pegglers were good to deal with (I didn’t use them in the end but wish I had and will for when we move out in summer) @tbc has used them and recommended

  • We used L&T who were amazing. They were an in the know Walthamstow recommendation and I can't recommend them enough, honestly.

We moved from a very full 1 bed with cellar in Clapton to a house in Walthamstow. It was going to be £300 but we exchanged at 5pm (majorly stressful) so we had to pay them a bit extra for all the time they spent waiting around (quite rightly, they went home at 7) but I think it came to just over £400 in the end.

The whole team were great to deal with and they didn't damage one single thing - not even a plant! I hate people damaging my things so found this very pleasing.

They mostly seem to move people into our out of E17 but I don't know their exact area.
