  • No, it’d be pretty cheap.

The raw materials would be something like £10 a foot from the supplier I use, Lasaero. If you just want a steerer and a spacer then you need some 1 1/8” x 0.058” or 0.065” and some 1 1/4” x 0.058”. A decent bahco tube cutter to cut it to size will be +/- £20 and maybe a file to deburr. You might even be able to buy the exact length you need, I usually buy it by the full foot.

Lasaero will sell you as little as a single 1ft length and shipping isn’t ridiculous but it’ll take them a few weeks to get the stock in probably.

Peter (Ceeway) might have the 1 1/8” stuff, if he did it’d be even cheaper but the 1500mm lengths he sells it in probably wouldn’t even bring you up to minimum order value.

I could do the cutting etc for you but I don’t think I have any/enough of that length of tubing in stock so would need to order it.

It’s raw chromoly steel so you’d need to think about paint or whatever to keep the rust at bay.

I could also make you a stem if you decide to go that way, probably not zero reach as I’ve never thought up a way to be able to preload the headset but could figure out something to get you where you need to be.

Braze a disc into the tube to seat the bolt against before you add the bar clamp, no? The back of the clamp needs an access hole obvs, same for the front or a removable faceplate
