That was my general opinion at least. 20/30mph zones are a hell of a lot more dangerous than motorways/dual carriageways. And frankly I find the people going 50 on a motorway much more dangerous than those going 80+. Same goes for people who decide to overtake someone doing 68 by moving out and doing 68.5, resulting in overtakes that seem to last several minutes.
TBH Idk.
But I guess my thinking is in terms of how fast modern cars are - especially EVs - so that you'd need to restrict acceleration as well as max speed.
Although I can believe most deaths are caused sub 50mph.
