I’ve always thought speed limit limiters would make a radical difference. Imagine if everyone did 30 in a 30, 20 in a 20, 70 in a 70, etc?
Speed limiters that adjust to the local limit are coming in the EU, and the UK. All new type approvals from the summer and all new cars in a couple of years IIRC. I've had one in my car for the last 4 years.
