Noooooooooooooooice. Good luck. Really like the look of Forte's. The KLH Model Five could be worth a look as well. Not sure about UK availability though.

keen to hear what you think of the klipsch. They seem to divide opinion, some people love them but others think they aren't 'accurate'.
Accuracy is overrated imo though -
Kinda think it's a waste of time auditioning anywhere but your home so that's the right move.
I love the look of vintage but I'm used to a more detailed modern sounding speaker.
Let me know what you think of the Forte's.Really don't like the look of the foam grilles on JBL l82/100.
And with kids would need to stay on.

booked a demo with Klipsch forte IVs.. with the option to trial at home if I want to after an hour or so in store.. should be interesting, they're very different from LS50s from what I understand, but the differences all look appealing to me, they're for the living room so the LS50s would stay either way.
Other options I might look at JBL l82/100..
