I say that was a pretty uncommon mode of failure for a bolt like that.
You could put a bit of m10 stud into the axle then use a nut but I'm going to guess that the thread on that bolt/inside the axle is not the same pitch as a standard 10mm track nut so you'd likely be limited to more agricultural hardware.
I'd go with replacing the bolt (which will be very cheap so long as you don't buy it from BLB) and taking it really easy on the torque.
Hi there guys,
Last weekend broke a M10 bolt (8mm HEX) type on my FRONT BLB KING hub.
Since I use this Hub on the bike that I usually take for some abuse and freestyle I'd like to ask if there is any way to make this stronger using a solid axle instead ( even if means compromising weight).
Now I am a bit paranoid that this original volcano type fitting snaps again. As you can see in the pic, the Allen key interface on the bolt, snapped from the actual rod of the bolt - where the light grey lip is, 2nd pic. That is the only contact point that in the end of the day rider+bike stress on, which I think is quite bad..
Thank you advance everyone
