Fort William to London.
It's a pretty nice route, some particular highlights and then other bits you can't really avoid. I've ridden it twice before but we have to check it each year and I've made a few tweaks for this year so interested to see how they pan out.

@Saffronspokes This is an awesome bike. You've hit the sweet spot with geometry, tire volume, versatility and practicality. Love it.

@Saffronspokes are those the Goodyear Connector Ultimates? How do you find them?

Yeah they are. I'm very impressed with them, they're pretty bomb proof and roll well. The tread copes well with most stuff. Only negative is they're a bit harsh (as a result of being so durable) so you need to run lower pressures than normal to get the comfort. They also come up true to size if you're tight on clearances.

The bike performed admirably across the trip. Just need to sort out a suitable rear dynamo light and where to mount it now

it would be theoretically possible to do internal routing for the rear dynamo down there but I presume you don't want to go drilling holes in your frame. I've got it there on my Rourke, routing the dynamo cable round the BB is doable.
Bike looks great.

Yeah it would be neater with the dynamo cable routed internally, particularly on the fork. As you say though for the sake of aesthetics I'm not too keen on drilling holes. I might try and source some tape though so that I can get rid of the zipp ties on the chain stay.

You could go into the mudguard at the BB and then back down the mudguard stay.
A tiny bit of aesthetic benefit for probably lots of faff and a dependency on mudguards. Totally not worth it but the sort of thing i'd do and regret doing half way through.

Use the Di2 adhesive strips instead of tape, they work really well!

Yeah I had looked at them, CRC have some in stock. Reviews seemed mixed so I wasn't sure how well they stayed stuck.

I don't run a saddle bag so about to route mine down through the seatpost, seat tube, up the down tube and out the Di2 port (running AXS).
I say I will, a mechanic probably will end up doing it once I run out of patience.

If the frame is nice and clean before hand then they stick really well. I used them for cable routing up the fork leg but on my commuter that gets ridden in all weathers and they haven’t come unstuck in over a year and look cleaner than tape.
Back in road mode for a 5 day route recce.
