can you not just remove skirtings, lift the existing flooring, put down the mat/diffuser plate/pipes, then put the existing flooring back down? we have cork tiles laid on a suspended timber/insulated floor.
Have you ever tried to put laminate back down after taking it up? Usually burst and is knackered.
