The hammer drill action on a combi drill is never any good.
This. Even on my top of the range Makita combi, I'll almost always grab the SDS to drill into masonry, unless its incredibly soft material.
I dont have this issue with the milwaukee's, apart from they deafen you with how loud they are.
We use them all the time on brick and some of it is as hard as fuck.
Oh it’ll do brick no problem, but given the choice I always grab the battery SDS (but I’ll happily just take the combi if it’s for a handful of holes and I’ve got to carry it any distance!).
