Very, very late to the party here (as in about 20 mins ago) but bugger me, that’s some achievement. My fitness and stamina has fallen off a cliff the past couple of years and I’m struggling to do my 130 miles a week commute these days, so this is just off the scale to me. Huge congratulations to you, and I’ll add my donation to a worthy cause. I’m now off to get a hat so I can take it off to you.

Congratulations Joel. This is a truly awesome achievement. Really inspiring and kinda terrifying at the same time.

Tell us what you’ve been up to today - don’t want to hear that you’ve ridden or cleaned your bike 🤣. Nursing a bad well deserved thick head?

Yesterday was such a blur. I've only just been able to sit down to take in what happened and go through all of the messages. It's crazy to think that I completed this challenge that i set myself. I want to thank you all for your support on the forum, it was also a pleasure to meet @alex_s and @jdp yesterday.
It's hard to put into words how i feel about finishing, it was such a big life commitment and it changed my whole routine for a year.
This challenge though wasn't about the cycling, my biggest achievement was opening up about my own mental health. I'm still struggling with this but I'm trying my best. What motivated me throughout was that I was raising money for CALM and awareness for men's mental health with suicide prevention. I feel that cycling this amount represented the daily struggle that i was going through when i was at my worst: the daily pain, exhaustion, not seeing friends/family enough and the difficulty to start each day. I'm proud to have finished this and that I've managed to raise so much money for charity.
I'm incredibly pleased to have documented this challenge through the forum and I'd love to join a ride in London at some point in the near future.

I have done both, cleaned mine and my GFs bike. I've also ridden a little bit sorry. All of this was part of some filming which will hopefully come out in the next few weeks

I was a bit lost yesterday without cycling after work, it was my first actual rest day for such a long time. I managed to catch up with friends in NZ which i have struggled to do over the year which was lovely.
From having such a strong routine with this challenge to not really having one is tough. I haven't really got any plans this week for my riding, just that i want to do some (maybe 300km). I'm going to get a training plan, originally i would of written it myself but I want some accountability in order to keep myself motivated.
I've set up a bit of a wall of used parts in my garage, i haven't worked out how i can store the bottom brackets though.

You could cast them in clear epoxy if that’s your sort of thing.
