FS: 1997 GT Zaskar 16” SS rat MTB

Light and fun GT Zaskar. Pretty sure it’s a medium 16” frame. Anodised ink blue - looks kind of purple. I’ve had this for over 20 years in various forms since Hans Rey and Martin Ashton were the apples of my eye.

Lots of scratches and prob a few minor dings but don’t think there’s anything major.

Built up as a single speed. Very ratty. Mixture of parts, some XT some LX. Fizik saddle. Old school interesting orange alloy fork with back facing brake mounts. Cannondale crossbar riser handlebars with a nice bit of sweep.

First few Bb frame threads are worn on drive side but it’s fitted with a 22/24mm bolt through sram crank with gap conversion collar on an external cup shimano saint bb so works fine. You couldn’t use an internal cup bb and crank without rethreading.

Nice fun rat bike or project. I saw a guy who’d fitted 650b to a Zaskar with drop bars the other day and it was amazing.

Reluctantly selling so I can buy a Dynamo front wheel.
