  • If anyone is interested in an Omnium Cargo Wifi I have a new in box frameset, Large Size, Green.

My business was awarded a grant to purchase this bike that was then rescinded, leaving us with the frameset but out of pocket for it and out of the returns window!

I got some lovely strong wheels handbuilt by Arup to go with them too. Never ridden either.

Looking to sell both as a good price package deal. Can deliver in London or post anywhere else.

  • We've got Mini max frames in medium + large in stock too, one of the greens and one of the blues. Can be a full bike, got some kits left.
Also have Mini classic, and Mini classic variant frame kits and I think one or two full size Cargo in blue in medium.

Omnium like others have steered a bit clear of the UK due to the obvious, still deal with dealers, but not individuals anymore. In a nutshell its the same amount of paperwork and admin fee's whether you 'import' one saddle, or 100 full bikes. So unfortunately makes sense for things to go that way.

  • Also if any bullit owners want my old HDPE panels (bit beaten up, but functional!)

You just need some M10 nuts and bolts to fix them

    £Free, collection from E5

  • Looks great. Pleased?

  • Very! Turned out great!

  • @VeloSurMer @BrickMan

Thanks both for the replies- am chipping away at my o/h to get her to accept this is a good idea…

  • That's very generous! I seem to remember them costing about £1 Billion new when I was looking at getting a bullit.

  • Well it's not the expensive Larry Vs Harry one.. it's some HDPE sheet that I but to size.

A couple of cans of guiness wouldn't go amiss though

  • thats amazing

  • Going to Paradise cycles at some point this week - what is the go to setup for an Omnium wifi? I haven’t built a bike in a few years so not sure what’s cool these days…

  • anyone else with a load75 using a basket on the rear rack?

  • Anyone have a qr 20" disc front wheel they wanna sell?

  • Well tyres wise I can't say enough good things about Schwalbe Big Ben plus...I'm running them tubeless and they haven't had a single (insert word I daren't say)... Or if they did it sealed itself. 😁

Have we seen these before? Stumbled across it by accident looking for something else.

  • What do people do when their kids get a bit too tall for the Bullitt canopy? Eldest says she is banging her head on the side bar. Also with winter coats it's pretty snug with the two of them side by side.
I'd roll back to using the side panels but that's much too narrow for two kids.
Any of the other cargos more accommodating than this for 6-8 year olds? (She's 5 now but looking ahead)

  • I’m in the same boat atm (two 5yos) and half tempted to make a bench set up like the pedal me urban arrows but with a retractable lap belt

  • anyone have experience of Bosch CX noises ? When I'm pedalling, sometimes it sounds like there's something swinging round and hitting the casing every few pedal revolutions. Doesn't seem to matter much about speed/weight.

  • they sell and get TERN GSD

  • Have you checked all the usual stuff already? Chain wear / tension prob being the main offender for annoying noises coming from that area.

Strange whirring or banging noises from the Bosch drive unit itself usually means it’s on the way out. At work a bike used daily could fairly predictably destroy the motor within 6months to a year. (Gen2 motors that is)

I’d advise you go to your Bosch dealer, they’ll diagnose and if it’s on the way out will initiate the necessary procedure with Bosch to get it swapped out. in advance try and get a nice clear video recording with good sound.

If you bought it second hand / it’s ancient / there are no dealers nearby, all is not lost, as performance line bearings will be able to repair the common issues with Bosch motors. And offer a year warranty on the service. I’ve used them multiple times and they’ve been really great. You’ll just need to remove the motor by yourself (should be videos on yt or I can advise via dm)

You can keep using the bike it may just get gradually worse and worse. Stay out of turbo to increase longevity

  • @boisb As above. Custom seat box & canopy will give you more width and head height, but eventually leg room will become an issue and if you create a raised seat to combat this, then you'll be bashing their heads with the bars! :) Still cramming our almost 8 year old in a medium sized Douze (similar dims to Bullitt) and struggling to get a quote & timings to upgrade to a longer front end with new higher design canopy. Will just keep cramming him for the time being until Douze decide to start another batch of long front-ends. Not overly keen on longtails and like the fact that during the winter months our boy is always toasty in the canopy.
