Isn't the massive size of EVs also partially down to demand? People want bigger cars with bigger range.
To say all electric vehicles are massive seems off to me though. Most electric cars are, sure but there's stuff in the "not quite a car not quite a bike" range that is very petite. Or things like that e Honda or whatever.
Not really the meat and potatoes of this thread which should really be named "electric cars" to be fair.
If you want a car with range, it has to have a big battery. Big batteries take room and unless you want take all the cabin space up, you have to make the car bigger.

In case it wasn't clear, my whinge was directed at all cars - prompted by the Porsche Taycan chat. As it seems crazy that porsches estate is as big as a proper Range Rover.
