• Would anyone mind sharing a bit about thier design/thought process?

My 'work' tends to be mostly mostly textile, leather work and wood work. So I like to draw (scrawl) things out in front of me and have lots of pics and ideas/inspiration saved. I use an A3+ Rhodia dot pad to sketch things out, drawer to scale and make patterns with. Where i get frustrated is that I like to have pictures and things as reference so find myself basically scrapbooking on top. Obviously that's not very 2022...

I've been considering making the whole process Digital with an ipad, apple pencil.

Does anyone one else do it that way? I've been playing around with the concepts app, and that seems like a cool way to do it. Infinite canvas type things suit my scatter brain approach.

    Tia

  • I use my surface sometimes, but find it very weird compared to my usual process of starting off in pencil, rubbing it out a million times until I'm happy then inking over the final lines. It just doesn't feel right and you can't see where you've previously fucked up.....
