Nothing to do with knives, but this sort of thing always grates on me
According to Home Office figures, nitrous oxide, or laughing gas, is the second most popular drug among 16- to 24-year-olds, behind cannabis.
Caffeine, alcohol and tobacco?

Also like what 1 person has died from nos. Oh no they might get light headed for 5 minutes, awful.

Tbf, every time I've had laughing gas (at least 10 years ago now mind) I've spent a good 1-2 minutes at a time forgetting that I live in a nightmarish hellscape. You can see why a tory government would want to suppress that.

Nos is actually relatively dangerous, because it isn't treated with the same respect as other party drugs. It's also way more accessible. Seen plenty of casualties. Gross.

For a tenner its impossible to fault. Even at £50 it would still be good.
Yep. Bought one (and a cleaver) for cheaps. Has gone on the magnet strip for daily use until I figure out if I prefer a short Chef knife or Nakiri for day-to-day veg chopping.

Fancy those knife as cheapies great to have around but can't find a way to send them somewhere to keep till I get back.

A chef at my work has one of these, it’s very nice.

I find these sort of videos oddly satisfying. Despite the hammering and grinding sounds. And the music at the end to finish it off.

Amazing and well done. Such a shame one died.

Not porn worthy in any way but I did learn a lot!
I will redo the handle to even out the dark patches and get both sides symetrical. At some time I'll probably redo it from scratch. The blade is a Lars Fält-knife with a handle in pear.

3d printed a Lansky handle. Works well. Looks like a really advanced butt plug.

I’ve been trying to get one of his knives for like 3/4 years but always miss when he releases stock! One day the stars will align 🤣
-
• #4465
I'd buy one of those.
I'd be tempted too. What sort of cost range would we be talking?
-
• #4466
We’ve got a set of global knives. They’re really well made but I wish the blades were a bit heavier.

Just got a Wicked Edge Pro Pack 1 on ebay for £270. Very excited! Looking forward to shaving with a bayonet.

Anyone have good experiences with a knife sharpener who I can take / send my knives to, near forest hill se23? Yes, I should learn how to use a stone properly etc, but I am mad busy at the moment and don't have time

I'm in FH. How many knives?
-
• #4470
Amazing - one knife that desperately needs it, several more that could probably do with it! I'll DM you

• #4471
Do santokus tend to be scalloped on both sides or just one?
-
• #4472
Depends on the manufacturer.
Scalloping is supposed to stop food sticking to the blade but in my experience it doesn’t.
-
• #4473
Does this portend a new career? Actually I've been wondering what I could do to earn a couple a bob if and when I go off for some indefinite van life abroad, and a knife sharpening service crossed my mind! Perhaps it would be a way to get some free drinks on campsites.
-
• #4474
As hollowlegs said, some are and some aren't. Not sure what the the proper definition of a santokus knife is as the blade can be single bevelled or double bevelled suspect just the shape of the blade.

Not sure if it is porn, but another santoku knife, no scollops and stainless steel.
Unfortunately made in Portugal not France.
