  • A mere blip in the whole process, they sent a muppet to install and ended up pulling the carcasses off the walls and refitting. the boss man fitter came and took one look, tutted and rejigged everything in a day to mm precision (muppet was given the elbow).
thing is i knew it was going to be a shit experience but it took 3 weeks in the end! the kitchen is great though and the memory of having my living room full of boxes and dust has faded.

next kitchen is going to be different and probably ikea/howdens with custom fronts, will get trades in and do some myself.
plan is to remove the old kitchen, tile floor myself, build units myself, get fitted professionally (cousin who’s a fitter but i have to bribe him to travel) get plumber, electrician (another mate) worktop fitters in and then hang all he fronts and drawers myself.

    what could possibly go wrong?.....

  • Quite a lot of things...

But if you have the trades on site, doing the work, it's nothing they haven't seen and solved before. Can recommend Howdens, btw, and also a worktop supplier/fitter depending on what you're after.
