I've always said Bromptons are amazing value over the lifespan, but that's a lot to drop!

Original brompton brake levers, which ones were dangerous, and should I swap the levers out if I am selling the bike.
Bike not in the UK and hoping to profit on the covid tax.

Fuck yes, that is bargainous.
Doubling that on eBay, is conservative I’d say. Even if all the parts are fucked I’ve seen frames going for £500+ and it’s not like it’s an old swb or anything.

I need a spanner/socket for the once or twice a year I swap the Brompton folding pedal. I seem to remember it's something strange and in the past I've used molegrips which is a bit of a faff. Can anyone recommend the correct tool for the job, cheaper the better due to the minimal use it will get. Cheers.
Brompton is about ten years old if that makes any difference.
Also, due to various reasons I've barely ridden it in the past five years but I'm probably going to start riding it a lot more soon. What are the best bang for your buck upgrades? It's pretty stock apart from different grips.

That's the old style fitting pedal which is not 8 am 6mm Allen key compatible.

Is it an imperial size?

I'll get a picture later when I'm home. I seem to remember it needed a big socket, 22mm or thereabouts, that also needed to be skinny as it was recessed or something (the one I had was too fat).

24mm is the one.

Cheers for the offer but I'm up in North London so not that near. I'm not in any real rush but just want to get the right tool in advance rather than forgetting about it until I need to take the pedal off.
Cheers @c4shr do you know if that one fits. The socket I had at home was too thick from what I remember.

Exact fit and was flush when I was removing pedals on the Brompton with the older pedal nut (newer models will have the hex nut which I would recommend, but if you have the socket...). Think it was a couple of quid in that famous diy store with orange logo. You need a 1/2 inch drive though.

Cheers. I'll pick one up

Only just noticed looks like they've gone with a ahead stem.

"Other innovations could be easy to miss, such as the first ever A-headset and carbon fork on a Brompton, alongside a new stem faceplate. A new magnetic fixture for the pedal offers a far slicker aesthetic and a more rigid pedal body for more efficient power transfer."

Yes,read it this time, instead of just looking at the pictures!
Last one I built was 8.9kg I think, £4K tho, recon I could make it 8.5kg for £3 swapping a few parts
