chief bore
The maxim is frequently credited to Margaret Atwood, from the Blind Assassin, although I suspect some form of it could be found in the wisdom of elders in many cultures
"Don’t eat anything you aren’t prepared to kill. Don’t kill anything you aren’t prepared to eat"
To which I usually add "and leave some for your kids"
Yeah gotta be a bore and agree with the chief bore, can’t stomach watching animals getting killed? Don’t eat them then.
