The maxim is frequently credited to Margaret Atwood, from the Blind Assassin, although I suspect some form of it could be found in the wisdom of elders in many cultures
"Don’t eat anything you aren’t prepared to kill. Don’t kill anything you aren’t prepared to eat"
To which I usually add "and leave some for your kids"
Do you object to the fact that it was live or that the shot was taken at an unsportingly short range?
