Your Photoshop skills aren't as good as they used to be

I started removing the frame bag from that 920, and realised you were right!

Much appreciated, and a nice pro/con breakdown/crackdown. Hopefully manufacturing progress (and a bit of luck) will keep Carbondas relatively crack-free. A massive pro is how close they look to the XTC, + the possibility of sparkly custom paint (🙏🏻@cjr). I flipping hate even thinking about claiming on warranties so I’ll have to come to terms with that before doing it

I like the front rack

Crankset beef thread >>>>>
https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/325268/I still really like the look of current XTR

I only run DA TT cranks on grav grav because anything less than 56T is for Juniors or tourists.

• #22809
Agreed, any idea what it is?

There's no do it all bike, it's always a compromise.
-
• #22811
Not a clue. Looks very tidy with that fork eh
-
• #22812
Looks slippery
Looks are not always deceptive...

I’m no pretty sure it is the same frame as the Hook ext-c. Also Dolan use it as their gravel frame and Ridley used to use it as well.

I like my wank industries cranks (square taper). And I don’t care for your bike person wallet eyes.
I agree though all modern SRAM, shimano AND campag cranks look like molten spaceships. -
• #22815
i have a spare planet X fork from a space chicken if that could help. Sold it on ebay but the seller never collected.

I UTFS and it's either a Trek 920 or Trek Touring rack.
Looks nice but not sure how well it would play with non-Trek forks

This has some vaguely useful info.
https://www.reddit.com/r/gravelcycling/comments/n5k8ti/list_of_bikes_using_the_carbonda_696/Different (better?) T47 BB on the Bombtrack version. But otherwise seems same.
Actually hole for dynamo routing too, though Carbonda will offer to drill one for you for a small extra charge.I know actually enjoying 'gravel' bikes goes against the rules of this thread, but all the most enjoyable riding I've done over the last year and a bit has been on this bike so would generally recommend. WI would get the Carbonda version if you don't mind waiting for it to arrive (I only got the Bombtrack because I could get it at trade/quicker).

We get some carbondas here, just rebranded for big bike. They're fine, big clearances, round seatpost with proper clamp that doesn't slip and no internally routed sillyness. Press fit BB is OK too, people just feel emasculated having to go to a LBS to swap it.

• #22819
This is 👌. Also more Finnish tires aimed at the ice-apocalypso.
-
• #22820
Mine has a threaded BB which I much prefer, can't remember if it was standard or a special request.
-
• #22821
Up it goes.

• #22822
I know that, just I would like to have a bike that meets the basic requirements while not being crap to ride outside it.
A must-have for me:
Hydraulic brakes
Low gearing, lower than 1:1 gear ratio
Mudguard mounts
Wide tyre clearance with mudguards, at best 2.0+
Fork mounts for bottle/utility cages
Thru axles nice to have -

This looks remarkably like my list.
Also want internal dynamo lighting cable runs and and 2x for my knees. -
• #22824
I think you need a early 2000's aluminium mountainbike
