Parts for a fixie/singlespeed

Helping a mate out in getting his very old singlespeed up and running.
Couple things I need:

1. Rear wheel/wheelset that can be used fixed/single speed. Ideally chrome rims, something that can take a beating as it'll get him to work and back.
   
2. Adjustment screws that go in the rear dropout
   
3. Brake pads for road calipers - Not sure the make, but they're simple road calipers.
   Ideally within easy reach of SE1 for pick up.
