Do you object to the fact that it was live or that the shot was taken at an unsportingly short range?
Approximately 1600 domestic chickens get whacked every second, mostly by much crueller means than a shotgun from 6 feet away.

Against all forms of animal cruelty and killing. Aware that sadly there is a terrible amount of it, think I was just quite shocked seeing it in the memes thread -

We tend to avoid the kinds of people we hate in real life, so to be confronted with someone who would a) own a car like that not realising how shit it was and b) kill an animal for a laugh is a slight shock. Most people on here viewing that would be 100% on the side of the chicken, and identify with it's desire to scratch up that vehicle. Just the chicken being shot without the car damage would be less shocking, because you wouldn't have anthropomorphised the animal.
