TBH, it varies. But the constant is a sense of emptiness in the house.
But I've been spending time with Hobbes (parents' dog), and he makes most things good when he's around. It was interesting watching his reaction over the past few weeks. Initially he'd just look for Calvin when we went around to theirs, and then he turned into the most cuddly dog, (he normally just wants a pat/ play/scritch), and instead wouldn't leave Mrs 'brows side.
It still sort of hurts to go for a walk with Hobbes though. The two of them were perfect together.
A big thank you has to go to @Quincy for being very generous with their time during their fostership of John.
And in general- this thread has been a big solace for me.
On a much lighter note.
Someone changed their minds or couldn't take one of his breeder's most recent litter, so we may have a new dog incoming. TBC, as always.
