Yes, I can download that on my phone, sitting on turbo.
Obviously as komoot doesn't bother with a search function, I can't go to the tcr routes to see if they look similar on phone.
Edit. Found the komoot page now, it doesn't give me the options that it does for SRMR, or for the previous TCR for that matter.
Clearly it is what passes for an upgrade on komoot!
If they deliberately break something, why not at least tell people how to pay money to fix it? -

Here's the link, if you can download them you are a mapping hero!

Wow! How did you do that?

I finished my software engineering degree in 2001. I am still in that industry.

Okay, I see!

Respect!
Actually not yet, they're the wrong ones, they're for last year's attempt!
The right ones include Durmitor.

• #435
There's others with the same problem in the FB group. I assume Komoot or the organizer fucked up something with this year's routes and will fix it soon.

• #436
Send me the links. I'm not doing all your work for you!

• #437
One of the links is in my post above. Will dig others out

That just says it's a highlight? Is there actually a route or is it just a point?
-
• #439
Maybe that's the problem, it's been set up wrong.
If you click on the map on the right on that page you get this page which has the route on screen:
https://www.komoot.com/plan/@50.8097320,14.1483800,13.000z?sport=racebike&waypoint=hl:3901972It's not called 'tour' like they normally seem to be.

I have contacted Komoot. Hopefully they will make them so they can be downloaded. When I was trying to trace one of the routes when you zoon in the route disappears!

Yeah, it looks like it's drawn on screen from coords and I haven't got the time to convert to gpx

That's the start file. You could try manipulating that and using something like https://www.gpsvisualizer.com/convert_input but you're probably better off waiting for them to upload as a route or whatever.

So basically, it's fucked!
Thanks for trying, but if even your tech skills can't force Komoot to release a GPX, there's no chance for the rest of us.
-
• #443
If I had more time I'd probably do it, because I hate leaving stuff but I've got a migration that's been a pain in my arse since mid last year finally ready to go tonight so I don't want to waste tech braincells on a TCR I'm not riding. Also, cost:benefit suggests it'll take less time for them to fix than me to work around.
-
• #444
You could try this https://github.com/ThePBone/KomootGPX but just waiting for Komoot/tcr to fix it is probably the better option.

If you're on Android then I successfully downloaded the Three Peaks parcours from komoot using this earlier:

This is definitely a tough route. I make it an extra 130km distance and 8,000m climbing vs 2019. Total climbing is 47km which is more than previous years, I think.
And the total length is about 400km more than I rode in 2016.I guess they are making it harder each year as people get better at doing long rides.
...and party at the end of day 15 rather than 16 as last time!
-
• #447
Depends what you are using to measure. Pretty sure the most climb I had one year was nearer to 50k. What distance total have you got so far?
-
• #448
Total distance is just a bit under 4200km
Based on RWGPS figures for rough routes plus Komoot for parcours.
Distance measurements are obviously more reliable than climbing. -
• #449
4200/47000 is a tough one
-
• #450
Trivial in the grand scheme of things I know but how likely is this to go ahead in the current climate? I guess could change the route if needed? Aware it's still a long way off so a lot could change.
I can't download it either! I have tried drawing the route into RWGPS which is not really ideal. Already paid for Komoot once and subscribe monthly for RWGPS so don't really want to pay again for that after having paid the TCR entry fee!
